Carmen Sings Monk (Juli Wood Quartet)

Vocalist Carmen pays tribute to Thelonious Monk with the Juli Wood Quartet, delivering a night of inventive interpretations of the piano legend’s repertoire. The program blends Carmen’s expressive phrasing with Wood’s swinging saxophone and a rhythm section that honors Monk’s angular melodies. Jazz Showcase’s intimate setting provides the perfect backdrop for this homage to one of jazz’s most iconic composers.
